Product Management and Engineering

 

Designed distributed residential system for start-up – including distributed audio and video, web access, unified messaging, security, and home control:
Designed touchscreen User Interface (UI) including artwork;
Wrote the physical layer specification in the Vesa Home Network committee – now part of the 1394b standard;
Member of CEBus residential networking standards committee, and was responsible for the alliance with Echelon and their LONWorks products;
Designed and implemented 5 corporate web sites;
Introduced 16 new products and technologies into the marketplace (across 5 companies):
Complete responsibility for managing 6 of these products. Including product positioning, competitive analysis, presentations, collateral materials, sales and FAE training;
Global resource to close or rescue key accounts;
Provided 4 road shows of product or beta introductions into critical accounts;
Responsible for all collateral materials for 12 of these products.
Developed and managed 11 OEM relationships, 4 concurrently at Case Technology. 6 required extensive technical and business evaluation;
Wrote 6 technical manuals, and collaborated on 3 additional manuals;
Designed and managed an ASIC front-end design system – before schedule and below budget. Development included OEM selection and writing the software interfaces. Responsible for QA testing, rollout, literature, product packaging, product introduction, sales training and sales manual;
Managed training and services center for electronic design automation tools. Presentations of tools and services to all accounts;
Chairman of the Daisy Electronic Design User’s Group.
